How do you handle rescheduling?

Rescheduling can negatively impact your lawn care plan in the short term, so it's important to understand how it works.

Timing of applications is one of the most important things to get right in a lawn care plan. For this reason, we highly recommend avoiding a reschedule if at all possible. Rescheduling will usually have a short term negative effect on your lawn care program.

How Rescheduling Works

However, sometimes rescheduling is the only option. If you need to cancel your scheduled lawn care we will place your lawn on a "clean-up" list. Then, once we have finished all customers on the normal route, we will build an efficient route to revisit all customers who needed to cancel and reschedule.

What this means is all reschedules are moved to the end of the route. Then on the next round, you will be back in the route where you were originally.

An Example

Where this could be particularly unfortunate would be if you were at the very beginning of a round and needed to reschedule. For example; For a fertilizer round it's approximately 5-7 weeks per round for us to work through all customers. So, if you were in week 1 and rescheduled, you would be down around week 5, 6, or 7 for your rescheduled service. Then, you would receive a treatment again a few weeks later at the start of the second round because you were originally routed at the beginning of the round.

Ways to Prevent Rescheduling

There are a few ways we can help you avoid having to reschedule.

  • Request a code lock. We will, at no cost to you, send you a lock in the mail with a code instead of a key. This way we can always access your back lawn when we are treating.
  • Ensure you're receiving day-before text messages. If you don't receive day-before text messages, you should be. Please call the office so we can look into this.
  • Call to see if we can accommodate your need rather than rescheduling. We can't always do this, but we want to try our best for you.
  • Use Siri/Google Assistant. When you receive our day-before text notification, ask your digital assistant to set an alarm for you tomorrow morning 5 minutes before you typically leave for work to remind you to unlock your gate.
